About this Photos:
I go into Berlin a lot on the train. I had taken similar photos before, but I didn't pay much attention to them, before No. 6. I was fascinated by this photo and so, I have taken some on rides since then. They make me remember to the very first Lomos I ever saw. For this kind of photography, technical quality doesn't count at all and the results are mere chance. In a moving train it is nearly impossible to calculate the changing effects of light and shadows, reflexions, dirt and scratches on the windows. Of course I could not resist to arrange such photos. Sometimes they succeeded. They are just baubles. This is all about them.
I also added some photos not taken from inside of moving trains. Nevertheless they are intended to be snapshots.

Ich bin viel mit Berliner Bahnen unterwegs und habe gelegentlich auf diesen Fahrten Fotos gemacht. Diesen schenkte ich keine Beachtung bis die Aufnahme Nr. 6 entstand. Diese gefiel mir und ab da entstanden auf jeder Fahrt Fotos. In ihnen erkannte ich das, was mich einst an Lomos fasziniert hat. Bei dieser Art zu fotografieren spielt die technische Qualität der Aufnahmen keine Rolle und die Resultate sind meist Zufall. In einem fahrenden Zug sind die sich stets ändernden Wirkungen von Licht und Schatten, Reflexionen, Schmutz und Kratzern auf den Scheiben kaum kalkulierbar. Natürlich versuchte ich, solche Fotos zu gestalten. Manchmal gelang dies. Das Ganze ist also eine Spielerei.
Mittlerweile ist nicht mehr jedes Foto aus einem fahrenden Zug entstanden. Trotzdem bleiben es Schnappschüsse.
